Glen Burnie, MD. – September 21, 2010
The Gazette of Politics and Business is proud to announce that it has released this year’s list of the 53 most exceptional businesses and organizations in the State of Maryland. The P&B Exceptional 53 Award program, produced by The Gazette P&B, acknowledges the top 53 businesses and organizations in Maryland based on criteria that included the recipient company’s annual revenue and employee growth as well as noteworthy product or service innovations, community service efforts, how they have steered their way through the economic downturn, and how the companies portrayed themselves as "good places to work."
The third annual awards ceremony, held Wednesday September 15th at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, attracted a large crowd of appreciative attendees eager to celebrate the accomplishments of the top 53 companies. The award featured a keynote speech by 2008 Pro Football Hall of Famer Darrell Green, sponsored by Comcast Spotlight and Comcast Business Class, which preceded a lavish dinner and networking activities at the hotel.
"I applaud these exceptional Maryland businesses that are consistently on the leading edge of innovation and doing their part to help through their pro-active community service programs. To make the 53 list is a great accomplishment," said Cliff Chiet, publisher of The Gazette P&B. Vision Technologies will be profiled in a special section as part of the Friday September 17, 2010 edition of The Gazette of Politics and Business.
Vision Technologies, #18 on the list, was recognized for its exceptional growth during the last three years as well as its community service programs including the work with the United Way, and innovation in technology services and company culture.
