Job Description:

The Information Technology Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing computer systems, networks, applications and user interface solutions for government and commercial proposal efforts and on-going contracts.  A wide range of technical knowledge is imperative for this position, along with customer service skills for working with both internal and external customers. In order for the successful execution of a project to occur, the Solutions Architect must be willing and able to work with all departments within Vision Technologies.

The Solutions Architect is responsible for architecting and designing Information Technology Solutions based on SOW and PWS.   This includes modeling the solution, analyzing the solution, and planning solutions that will meet the needs of the provided SOW/PWS within financial guidelines. After designing the solution, the Solutions Architect is responsible for relaying the plan to the information technology teams for proposal generation and execution of the design. The process of relaying can include delegating responsibilities, giving guidance, and personally helping the team.

Education and Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related discipline is required for the Solutions Architect position. These disciplines can include information systems, computer science, information technology, etc. Certifications related to system and network architecture are highly regarded.   A minimum of five years as a Solutions Architect is a plus.
